Heavy Duty Application — Radiator Hose Connection
- The heavy duty radiator application generally is in diameters from 50mm (2.0″) to 90 mm (3.5″).
- High torque, spring assisted and high corrosion resistance ensure a solid connection for years to come.
- Our engineers have sophisticated pressure, vibration and thermal test equipment (PVT) that we can use to simulate real world coolant application conditions. We can test your entire application to industry norms (e.g., SAE 1610) or to your unique specification. By working with us, you can validate the entire joint to give you the confidence you need to launch.

MaxTorque – This is the maximum torque of the clamp over a steel manderal which provides a constant environment.
Recommended Installation Torque is 50 – 70% of the max torque. This allows for the differences in durometer of the rubber or hose used. Your particular application will vary but should fall within the 50-70% level from max torque.
Specialty and Custom Clamp Offerings
It may be possible to find a suitable clamping product from our current and standardized line of products. However, additional material configurations and custom options are available and if you have a volume OEM application, our engineers would be delighted to work with you and your application to give you the best and most efficient clamp option.
